About Me

Early on, I knew I wanted to work in the field of psychology and therapy, and have been working in psychologically informed settings since I was 20. My curiosity and passion about the human mind led me to study Philosophy, Psychology, and ultimately, to obtain my license as a Marriage and Family Therapist.

Since being licensed in 1992, I have worked in many different capacities in the field of Mental Health, including Private Practice Therapist, Supervisor, Manager, Clinical Director, and Behavioral Health Director in small and large organizations. My last position was as the Behavioral Health Director of Solano County, where I was responsible for a system serving over 7,000 severely and persistently mentally ill and recovering clients and managed a budget of approximately 70 million.

A father of two grown children, I am happily married and dabble in flamenco guitar and trumpet in my spare time.
